Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of turtle probing needling in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia.Methods 94 cases of benign prostatic hyperplasia from January 2013 to December 2015 in the acupuncture clinic and urology surgery department in our hospital were selected and randomly divided into the turtle probing needling group (48 cases)and the conventional acupuncture group (46 cases).The acupoint of Zhongji,Sanyinjiao,Guanyuan was selected,the turtle probing needling and conventional acupuncture was given respectively.Residual urine volume,maximum urine flow rate,onset time and clinical efficacy before and after treatment in the two groups was compared.Results The total effective rate in the turtle probing needling group was 79.17%,which was higher than 56.52% in the conventional acupuncture group,with significant difference(P<0.05).The maximum urine flow rate after treatment in the two groups was larger than that before treatment,the residual urine volume after treatment in the two groups was less than that before treatment,with significant difference (P<0.05).The maximum urine flow rate after treatment in the turtle probing needling group was larger than that in the conventional acupuncture group,the residual urine volume after treatment in the turtle probing needling group was less than that in the conventional acupuncture group,with significant difference(P<0.05).The onset time after treatment in the turtle probing needling group was(6.46±2.03)hours,which was shorter than (7.30±1.85)hours in the conventional acupuncture group,with significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusion The method of turtle probing needling in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia is simple,easy to operate,reduce the pain of patients and medical expenses,the curative effect is remarkable.
