Abstract Pediatrics is a clinical subject aiming at a specific population,which involves a wide range of subjects and has a strong integrity.In the process of learning pediatrics,medical students need solid multi-disciplinary knowledge.In the pediatric clinical practice stage,the interns will be exposed to different kinds of pediatric diseases,so as to further improve the medical students′ pediatric clinical professional knowledge,integrate theory with practice,and better understand the relevant knowledge of theoretical courses.With the increase of international communication in medical education,bilingual teaching has become an important means in the field of medical education.At present,the main application of bilingual teaching in pediatrics clinical practice of Department of Pediatrics of Southwest Medical University is bilingual shift and bilingual teaching ward round.The advantages of bilingual teaching in pediatric clinical practice are worthy of further discussion and promotion by the majority of teaching workers.However,there are still some deficiencies in the use of bilingual teaching in pediatric clinical practice.Therefore,the majority of teaching workers need to weigh the advantages and disadvantages,so that bilingual teaching can be successfully implemented in pediatric clinical practice.
