Abstract ObjectiveTo analyze the clinical effect of open nursing care for neonatal umbilical cord fracture end. Methods From July 2015 to August 2016,86 newborns in our hospital were selected as the subjects of this study. They were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table,43 newborns in each group. The two groups of newborns were given the same ligation, disinfection methods and broken umbilical methods, and the control group receivedroutine nursing intervention on the basis of this. The observation group received open nursing intervention. The incidence of adverse reactions, nursing satisfaction and shedding time of umbilical cord were compared between the two groups.ResultsThe observation group of neonatal adverse reaction incidence rate was 4.66%,nursing satisfaction was 97.67%,the adverse reactions in the control group the incidence rate was 18.64%,nursing satisfaction was 83.72%,comparison between groups, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).And the observation group neonatal umbilical cord stump shedding time was significantly better than the control group of newborns, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionThe use of open nursing intervention can reduce the incidence of adverse events such as inflammation and infection, and improve the satisfaction of the newborn family members. It is worthy of clinical application.
