| Analysis of the results of syphilis screening for inpatients in our hospital in 2016～2017 |

Abstract Objective Two methods were used for syphilis diagnosis test,namely,specific treponema pallidum antibody test and non specific syphilis serological test,to screen syphilis for inpatients in different age groups of our hospital.Methods The syphilis serological examination results of inpatients in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed in 2016-2017.All syphilis positive patients were summarized and analyzed.Results The syphilis positive rate was 1.46%in 2016,and it was 1.60%in 2017.A total of 24 800 patients were examined,among them,there were 380 serological positive patients with syphilis,among them,there were 64 cases(16.800%)for 1-＜50 years old,there were 109 cases(28.600%)for 50-70 years old,and there were 205 cases (53.940%)for＞70 years old,and there were 2 cases(0.526%)for＜1 year old,and there was a significant difference in the constituent ratio between ＞70 years old group and ＜70 years old group (P＜0.05).The ratio of male to female was 1.27∶1,and gender difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The occupation ratio of latent syphilis was 90.530%.Conclusion The positive rate of syphilis increases year by year.The positive rate of syphilis in＞70 years old group was higher,and the syphilis ratio was the highest in the latent syphilis.There are many reasons for this result,such as age,geriatric disease factors,technical operation factors and syphilis serum immobilization factors.It is the sacred duty and mission of medical workers to popularize the serological screening of syphilis and to find out the patients of syphilis early,to analyze the results of the examination and to combine the clinical symptoms and early treatment to prevent the spread of the syphilis.
