Abstract ObjectiveTo investigate clinical treatment effect of drug therapy and dietary therapy in children with irondeficiency anemia.MethodsA total of 63 children with iron-deficiency anemia who treated in our hospital from June 2014 to June 2016 were divided into treatment group(n=32)and controlled group(n=31)according to the parents′will. The treatment group was supplemented with iron on the basis of diet intervention, the control group was receivedconventional iron treatment. The etiology of IDA children was analyzed and the clinical manifestations, laboratory test indexes and clinical efficacy of children in the two groups were compared.ResultsIn the 63 children with IDA of this study, the children at the age of< 1 year old,1-3 years old and>3 years old and different gender were compared, the difference were not statistically significant(P>0.05).In the 63 children with IDA,the rural children accounted for 63.5%,children in the big cities accounted for 36.5%,breast-feeding without supplement on time accounted for 66.7%,artificial feeding and mixed feeding accounted for 15.9%and 17.4%respectively,the children′s home areas and feeding type were compared, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The clinical indicators of two groups of children(including course>3 months, pale complexion, appetite decreases, hepatomegaly, splenomegaly)were compared, the differences were not statistically significant(P>0.05).After treatment, the Hb,MCHC,MCV,MCH and SF in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total clinical effective rate of treatment group(96.9%)was higher than that of control group(67.7%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionIDA is more prevalent in infants and children living in rural.Infants with breast-feeding without supplement are at higher risk for IDA.The children with small dose of iron combination of food are good therapeutic effect.
