Abstract Objective To analyze the effect of modified urethral catheter nursing after tongue mucosa urethroplasty.Methods From January 2015 to June 2017,68 cases of patients with tongue mucosa urethroplasty who were treated in our hospital were enrolled and divided into the observation group and the control group by random number table,34 cases in each group.The control group was treated with traditional catheter,and the observation group was treated with improved catheter.The survival rate,complication rate,tube length,length of stay and maximum urinary flow rate were compared between the two groups.Results The two groups had no significant difference in the survival rate of tongue mucosa (P＞0.05).Compared with the control group,the complication rate of observation group was significantly lower (P<0.05),intubation time and hospitalization time was shorter (P<0.05),maximum urinary flow rate was greater,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Modified urethral catheter after tongue mucosa urethroplasty can effectively improve the treatment effect,reduce complications and shorten the recovery time.
