Analysis on epidemiological characteristics of epidemic hemorrhagic fever in Guanyun County in 2010-2014

Abstract：ObjectiveTo master the epidemiological characteristics of epidemic hemorrhagic fever（EHF）in Guanyun County,to provide scientific basis for prevention and control measures of EHF.MethodsThe case data (from January 2010 to December 2014)were collected from Guanyun County Center for Disease Prevention and Control,and the population data were collected from Guanyun County Bureau of statistics.The statistical analysis was performed by descriptive epidemiological method.ResultsA total of 24 EHF cases were reported in 2010-2014,and the average incident rate was 4.77/100 thousand.Compared with the previous five years of 2005-2009,it showed an upward trend.The highest incidence rate was 5.96/100 thousand in 2014,and the mortality rate was 3.28%(8/244).Incidence of male and female ratio was 2.08∶1,the age of onset was 17-81 years old,18-59 years old population accounted for 66.39% (162/244).More farmers occurred,accounting for 94.67% (231/244).Cases occurred in winter and spring.County each villages and towns had a case report,Nangang,Longju,Yishan,Xiache,Yangji and Dongwangji these six towns,EHF cases accounted for 62.70%(153/244)of the total cases.ConclusionPestilence of EHF in Guanyun County is on the rise.It should vigorously carry out the prevention and control measures such as rodent and focus groups vaccination,so as to effectively minimize the harm of EHF.
