Abstract:Objective To explore the mental health status and related influencing factors of emergency nurses. Methods From January to February 2021, 100 nurses in the emergency department of 6 hospitals in Xinghua were selected to investigate the basic data and mental health status of nurses. According to the scoring results of symptom checklist 90(SCL-90), nurses were divided into good mental health group and poor mental health group. The basic data of the two groups, such as gender, age, marital status, educational background, working years, family/social support, fear of infectious diseases, stimulation of near death or death phenomena, interpersonal skills, satisfaction with work arrangements,and self-regulation of work pressure were compared. The influencing factors of mental health status of emergency nurses were analyzed. Results Among the 100 emergency nurses, 29 cases were found to have poor mental health, accounting for 29.00%. The proportion of working years <5 years, lack of family/social support, fear of infectious diseases,stimulation of near death or death, lack of interpersonal communication ability, dissatisfaction with work arrangement and lack of self-regulation of work pressure in the group with poor mental health was higher than that in the group with good mental health (P<0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that working years <5 years,lack of family/social support, fear of infectious diseases, stimulation of near death or death, lack of interpersonal communication ability, dissatisfaction with work arrangement and lack of self-regulation of work pressure were independent risk factors affecting the mental health of emergency nurses (P<0.05).Conclusion the mental health status of emergency nurses is not ideal. The main influencing factors are working years <5 years, lack of family/social support, fear of infectious diseases, stimulation of near death or death, lack of interpersonal communication ability, dissatisfaction with work arrangement and lack of ability to self regulate work pressure. The nursing department should pay great attention to it.
