Effect of mechanical ventilation in the rescue and treatment of critical asthma |

Abstract Objective To explore the effect of mechanical ventilation in the rescue and treatment of critical asthma.Methods A total of 60 patients with critical asthma from September 2018 to September 2020 in the Fourth People′s Hospital of Shenyang City were selected as subjects.The patients were divided into control group(30 cases)and experimental group(30 cases)by random number table method.The control group was treated with conventional treatment,and the experimental group was treated with non-invasive mechanical ventilation.Clinical treatment effect,pulmonary function indexes,blood gas indexes and total compliance rate were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The arterial partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2)in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group after treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2)in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The PaO2 in the experimental group after treatment was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The PaCO2 in the experimental group after treatment was lower than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the forced expiratory volume in first second(FEV1)and the percentage of forced expiratory volume in first second in forced vital capacity(FEV1/FVC)in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The total compliance rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of non-invasive mechanical ventilation in the rescue and treatment of critical asthma patients has a significant effect,which can significantly improve the lung function,blood gas indexes and treatment compliance of patients,and is worthy of clinical application.
