Abstract Information-based teaching is the product of the times with the rapid development of Internet information technology, the traditional teaching method cannot satisfy the teaching requirements of higher vocational colleges, especially the teaching of the experimental course of the higher vocational colleges. How to combine the information-based teaching with the functional experiment course closely, optimize the teaching design, innovate the teaching mode, improve the students′ practical ability and the success rate of the functional experiment, cultivate the students′ unity and cooperation, the spirit of scientific research and innovation, and the ability of independent learning, which are the contents worthy of consideration for the functional experiment teachers of higher vocational colleges. This paper will expound the situation of information-based teaching in experimental course of clinical medicine major in higher vocational colleges from three aspects: the present situation of experimental course in clinical medicine major in higher vocational colleges, the application of information-based teaching in functional experiments and teaching experience.
