Application of tutorial system in clinical undergraduate teaching |

Abstract Objective To explore the application of tutorial system in clinical undergraduate intern teaching. Methods A total of 60 senior college students in clinical medicine school of Qiqihar Medical College from March to April 2018 were selected as the research objects, they were randomly divided into observation group (30) and control group (30).The observation group adopted routine clinical teaching combined with tutorial system teaching, while the control group adopted routine clinical teaching. The scores of theoretical test, practical ability and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in objective multiple choice scores between the two groups (P>0.05). The score of case analysis questions in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The mini clinical exercise assessment scale (Mini-CEX) scores of the two groups were higher than those of the six-month internship, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The Mini-CEX score of the observation group were higher than those of the control group in 6 and 12 months of practice, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The overall satisfaction scores of the observation group in improving clinical thinking ability, cultivating self-learning ability, improving understanding and memory of theoretical knowledge, improving skill operation ability and teaching method were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). There were no significant differences between the two groups in stimulating learning interest and enhancing doctor-patient communication ability scores (P>0.05). Conclusion In the teaching of clinical undergraduate interns, the mentor system can significantly improve the theoretical test scores and clinical practice abilities of interns, improve the overall satisfaction of teaching methods, improve the interns′ clinical thinking ability, cultivate self-learning ability, enhance doctor-patient communication ability, Improve the understanding and memory of theoretical knowledge, and improve the ability to operate skills.
