| Clinical effect of Thymosin α1in the treatment of digestive system tumors in elderly patients |

Abstract Objective To study the clinical effect of Thymosin α1in the treatment of digestive system tumors in elderly patients.Methods A total of 100 elderly patients with digestive system tumors from August 2016 to December 2017 in our hospital were selected as research objects and they were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the computer randomization,with 50 cases in each group.The control group was treated with conventional chemotherapy,and the observation group was treated with Thymosin α1.The immune function,Karnofsky scores before and after treatment and total effectiveness rate were compared between the two groups.Results The levels of CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,CD4+/CD8+,NK lymphocyte in the two groups after treatment were better than those before treatment,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).The levels of CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,CD4+/CD8+,NK lymphocyte in the observation group after treatment were better than those in the control group,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,with statistically significant difference(P＜0.05).The Karnofsky scores of the two groups after treatment were higher than those before treatment,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The Karnofsky score of the observation group after treatment was higher than that of the control group,with statistically significant difference (P＜0.05).Conclusion Thymosin α1has a significant effect on treating digestive system tumors in elderly patients,which can improve immune function of patients with high safety and it is worthy of further study.
