Correlation analysis on C-reactive protein,interleukin-17,pigment epithelium-derived factor and immunoglobulin E in children patients with asthma |

Abstract Objective To analyze the expression of C-reactive protein(CRP),interleukin-17(IL-17)and pigment epithelium derived factor(PEDF)in acute attack of children patients with asthma and the correlation between the three indices and immunoglobulin E (IgE).Methods A total of 110 children patients with acute attack of asthma who were diagnosed in our hospital from January 2016 to December 2017 were randomly selected.According to the conditions of the children patients,they were divided into group A(mild asthma,53 cases)and group B(moderate and severe asthma,57 cases).At the same time,a total of 50 healthy children during the same period of time from the Health Examination Center were selected as healthy groups.The serum levels of CRP,IL-17,PEDF,and IgE in the three groups of children were compared.The correlations between serum CRP,IL-17,PEDF and IgE in the children patients with acute attack of asthma were analyzed.Results The serum levels of CRP,IL-17,IgE and PEDF in group B were significantly higher than those in the healthy group and group A,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The serum levels of CRP,IL-17,IgE and PEDF in group A were significantly higher than those in the healthy group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);the serum IL-17 level in the asthmatic children was positively correlated with IgE(r=0.679,P<0.05);there was no significant correlation between serum PEDF and CRP and IgE in asthmatic children (r=0.186,0.205,P>0.05).Conclusion CRP,IL-17,and PEDF are involved in the inflammatory response during acute attack of asthma in children.Interleukin-17 level is closely correlated to the expression of immunoglobulin E.
