Observation of the clinical effect of percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy for treating lumbar disc herniation |

Abstract Objective To observe the clinical short-term efficacy of percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy(PTED) in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation.Methods 36 patients with single-segment lumbar disc herniation diagnosed were follow-up observation during from 2014 to December 2016 in our hospital treated by percutaneous lumbar intervertebral disc surgery were followed up and observed.The surgical method was evaluated by VAS scoring system and modified MacNab curative effect evaluation standard.Results 1 day and 3 months after the operation,the VAS scores were (2.53±0.56) and (1.33±0.59)scores,which was lower than that of preoperative (8.62±0.68) with significant differences (P<0.05).According to modified MacNab efficacy evaluation results:excellent in 22 cases,good in 11 cases,medium in 1 cases,poor in 2 cases.Conclusion The treatment of lumbar disc herniation with intervertebral foramen microscopically with excision of nucleus pulposus has the advantages of small injury,less bleeding and lower incidence of complication,the short-term effect is exact.
