Study on effect of nutrition intervention on mild iron-deficiency anemia of female students in higher vocational college |

Abstract ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of nutrition intervention on mild iron-deficiency anemia in female students in higher vocational college.MethodsFrom September 2014 to September 2015,1103 female students in higher vocational college were examined and the results of blood routine examination were analyzed.Among these participants, 90 cases from in mild anemia with hemoglobin ranging from 90 to 110 g/L were selected as research objects.Eightmonth nutrition intervention was performed.The blood routine examination and questionnaire investigation before and after intervention were conducted in order to evaluate the effect of nutrition intervention.ResultsAfter nutrition intervention,the hemoglobin(Hb),mean corpuscular volume(MCV),mean corpuscular hemoglobin(MCH)and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC)of all the subjects were significantly higher than those before intervention,which were displayed statistical difference (P<0.05).After nutrition intervention,the dietary behavior and life style in all the subjects were significantly improved after with statistical significance (P<0.05).ConclusionNutrition intervention can effectively correct the iron-deficiency anemia of female students.
