Influence analysis of early artificial ventilation on the prognosis of patients w ith acute organophosphorus pesticide poisoning com p licated w ith respiratory failure |

Abstract Objective To study the influence of early artificial ventilation on the prognosis of patients with acute organophosphorus pesticide poisoning complicated with respiratory failure.M ethods 100 patients with acute organophosphorus pesticide poisoning complicated with respiratory failure treated by our hospital from January 2014 to March 2016 were selected as the research object,according to the principle of random distribution,the patients were divided into two groups,each group had 50 cases.The observation group was given early mechanical ventilation therapy while the patients with dyspnea and respiratory had not been stopped before tracheal intubation,the control group was given the delayed mechanical ventilation therapy while the patients in a coma and respiratory arrest after tracheal intubation in with consciousness.The effective time of rescue,mortality,ventilation time and the incidence of ventilator associated pneumonia were compared between two groups.Results The effective time of rescue in the observation group was (44.72±18.36)min,compared with the control group,the difference was statistically significant(t=8.738,P=0.000).The mortality rate(2%),the incidence of ventilator-associated pneumonia(8%)in the observation group were lower than the control group(χ2=4.891,5.741,P=0.027,0.017),the ventilation time[(73.54±12.90)h]in the observation group was significantly shorter than the control group(t=4.831,P=0.000).Conclusion The clinical treatment process of patientswith respiratory failure in acute organophosphorus pesticide poisoning,early artificial ventilation given in patients can effectively shorten the effective time of rescue in patients,reduce themortality,shorten the treatment time ofmechanical ventilation and can also reduce respiratorymachine related pneumonia,and it is beneficial to improve the prognosis.
