Observation on the curative effect of intelligent moxa steaming moxibustion combined with exercise therapy in the treatment of hemiplegic spasticity after stroke

Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of intelligent moxa steaming moxibustion combined with kinesitherapy on hemiplegic spasticity after stroke. Methods A total of 60 stroke patients with hemiplegic spasticity who were discharged from the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine of Yichun People′s Hospital from May 2019 to April 2020 were selected and divided into the observation group (30 cases) and the control group (30 cases) according to random number table method. Two groups of patients were given conventional oral medication to prevent recurrence of stroke.The control group was given exercise therapy, and the observation group was treated with intelligent moxa steaming moxibustion instrument on the basis of exercise therapy. The curative effect of spasticity, Fugl-Meyer assessment (FMA)score and Barthel index (BI) score of activities of daily living in the two groups were observed. Results The total effective rate of limb spasticity (upper limbs and lower limbs) in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the FMA score and BI score between the two groups before intervention (P>0.05). The FMA score and BI score of the two group after intervention were higher than those before intervention, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The FMA score and BI score of the observation group after intervention were higher than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Intelligent moxa steaming moxibustion combined with exercise therapy has a good effect in the treatment of hemiplegic spasticity after stroke. It can improve the spasticity of limbs (upper limbs and lower limbs), and improve the FMA score and BI score of patients, which has higher application value.
