Effect of Ethinyl Estradiol and Cyproterone Tablets combined with Metformin and Rosiglitazone on outcomes of in vitro fertilization embryo transfer in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome

Abstract：Objective To explore the effect of Ethinyl Estradiol and Cyproterone Tablets combined with Metformin and Rosiglitazone on the outcomes of in vitro fertilization embryo transfer in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome.Methods A total of 135 patients with polycystic ovary syndrome who received in vitro fertilization embryo transfer treatment in Jieyang IVF Hospital from October 2016 to October 2018 were selected and divided into group A (45 patients),group B (45 patients) and group C (45 patients) by the random number table method.Group A were treated with Ethinyl Estradiol and Cyproterone Tablets,group B were treated with Ethinyl Estradiol and Cyproterone Tablets combined with Metformin,and group C were treated with Ethinyl Estradiol and Cyproterone Tablets combined with Rosiglitazone.The effect on the outcomes of in vitro fertilization embryo transfer,body weight before and after treatment,body mass index(BMI),sex hormone levels before and after treatment,and embryo implantation rate were compared among the three groups.Results The cycle cancellation rate in group A was higher than that in group B and C,with statistically significant differences (P＜0.05).There were no statistically significant differences of the incidence rates of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) among the three groups (P＞0.05).The pregnancy rate of group C was higher than that of group A and B,with statistically significant differences (P＜0.05).There were no statistically significant differences of the abortion rates among the three groups (P＞0.05).The body weight and BMI in group A and B were lower than those before treatment,with statistically significant differences (P＜0.05);after treatment,the weight of patients in group A was higher than that of group B,and lower than that of group C,with statistically significant differences (P＜0.05);there were no significant differences in body weight and BMI in group C before and after treatment (P＞0.05).The levels of testosterone (T),luteinizing hormone (LH) in the three groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment,with statistically significant differences (P＜0.05);there were no statistically significant differences on the levels of T and LH among three groups after treatment(P＞0.05).The embryo implantation rate of group C was higher than that of group A and B,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).Conclusion Ethinyl Estradiol and Cyproterone Tablets combined with Metformin and Rosiglitazone effectively improves hormone levels and the outcomes of in vitro fertilization embryo transfer in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome.
