Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of modified cecal ostomy in the first-stage anastomosis of acute neoplastic left colonic obstruction. Methods A total of 86 patients with acute neoplastic left colonic obstruction who were admitted to our hospital from January 1999 to January 2019 were selected as the study subjects.According to the treatment method, they were divided into the control group (n=44) and the observation group (n=42).The control group was given routine surgery for the patient during the first-stage anastomosis. The observation group was given improved cecal ostomy. The time of extubation after surgery and complications were observed and comapred. Results There were no serious abnormalities such as anastomotic leakage in both groups. The overall incidence of complications in the observation group was 0.00%, which was lower than that of 11.36% in the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05).The extubation time in the observation group was (6.35±0.19) days, and the control group was (9.36±0.21) days, the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion In the first-stage anastomosis of acute neoplastic left colonic obstruction, the effect of modified cecal ostomy is favorable, so it is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
