Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the clinical efficacy of stellate ganglion block in the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy.Methods90 patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy treated in our hospital from April 2015 to April 2016 were selected.According to different therapeutic methods, they were evenly divided into the control group and the observation group,45 cases in each group. In the control group, paravertebral block was used, while in the observation group, stellate ganglion block was adopted. The scores of visual analogue scale (VAS)in time-set points, clinical efficacy, and clinical signs before and after treatment were compared in the two groups.ResultsThe total therapeutic effective rate in the observation group was 97.78%,which was higher than 82.22%in the control group, with a statistical difference (P<0.05).The VAS scores of the observation group at 10 min,3 d and 7 d after treatment were lower than those of the control group, with significant difference(P<0.05).After one-week treatment, the scores of neck and shoulder pain and discomfort, numbness and pain in the upper limbs, and brachial plexus traction in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, with significant difference(P<0.05).ConclusionStellate ganglion block in the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy can effectively alleviate patient′s symptoms so that they go into daily life and work as soon as possible.Inaddition, the therapeutic regimen is simple to perform, and suitable for wide application and promotion in grass-root hospitals.
