Abstract:Objective To explore evaluation value of expression of serum squamous cell carcinoma antigen (SCC), carbohydrate antigen 125 (CA125) and carbohydrate antigen 199 (CA199) for prognosis of patients with small cell carcinoma of cervix (SCCC).Methods A total of 58 patients diagnosed with SCCC in Dalian Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January 2018 to January 2019 were enrolled as the observation group, and 58 healthy women who underwent physical examination during the same period were enrolled as the control group. The levels of SCC, CA125 and CA199 in the control group and in the observation group before and after treatment were detected.According to different prognosis, the SCCC patients were divided into effective treatment group and ineffective treatment group, and the levels of SCC, CA125 and CA199 were compared between the two groups. Results The levels of SCC, CA125 and CA199 in observation group before and after treatment were higher than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).At the fourth month after discharge, of the 58 SCCC patients, there were 36 cases with effective treatment, and 22 cases with ineffective treatment. The levels of SCC, CA125 and CA199 in the ineffective treatment group were higher than those in the effective treatment group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis showed that the area under the curve (AUC) of the combined detection of SCC, CA125, and CA199 was larger than that of SCC, CA125, and CA199 alone, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Serum SCC, CA125, CA199 are of relatively higher diagnostic value for SCCC, which can be applied as indexes for prognosis evaluation.
