Abstract:Objective To explore the influencing factors of sentinel lymph node metastasis in stage T1 breast cancer. Methods The clinical data of 58 patients with stage T1 breast cancer treated in our hospital from January to December 2018 were retrospectively analyzed. All patients underwent sentinel lymph node biopsy.Univariate and multivariate analysis was made on the possible influencing factors including age, tumor size, tumor location, preoperative imaging evaluation, molecular typing, histological grade, Ki67 and lymphovascular invasion. Results Among 58 patients, 11 cases had sentinel lymph node metastasis, the positive rate was 18.97%.Univariate analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences in the positive rates of sentinel lymph nodes under different histological grades, Ki67, and lymphovascular invasion (P<0.05).Multivariate analysis showed that lymphovascular invasion was an independent risk factor for sentinel lymph node metastasis in T1 stage breast cancer (β=1.792, OR=5.999, 95% CI:1.151-31.269, P=0.033).Conclusion Lymphovascular invasion can predict sentinel lymph node metastasis in stage T1 breast cancer.
