Effect of institutional structured education combined with family rehabilitation training model on the parental pressure of autistic children′s mothers

Abstract:Objective To study the effect of institutional structured education combined with family rehabilitation training model on the parental pressure of autistic children′s mothers. Methods From January 2018 to January 2019,60 mothers who were initially diagnosed as autistic children in department of child rehabilitation of our hospital were selected, and divided into control group and experimental group according to the random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The children in control group was given institutional structured education, and the children in experimental group was given institutional structured education combined with family rehabilitation training mode. Six months after the intervention, the parental pressure of the two groups were assessed with the simple parental stress index(PSI-SF),perceived social support scale(SSRS),self rating depression scale(SDS)and self rating anxiety scale(SAS).Results After intervention, the scores of parent-child interaction disorder, resignation distress, children with difficulties and the total score of parental pressure in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The scores of subjective support, objective support and social support of mothers in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The scores of SAS and SDS of mothers in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Institutional structured education combined with family rehabilitation training mode can effectively reduce the parental pressure of autistic children′s mothers and improve the negative emotions of autistic children′s mothers, which is worth popularizing in clinical practice.
