Abstract:Objective To study the clinical effect and drug application value of Minocycline Hydrochloride Ointment,Metronidazole Gel combined with Vitapex in the treatment of periodontal pulp combined lesions. Methods From March 2015 to March 2018,68 patients with combined periodontal and pulpal lesions were selected as the subjects. The patients were divided into the control group (n=34)and the analysis group (n=34)according to random number table method. The control group was treated with conventional periodontal therapy and root canal therapy, and the other special drugs were not given. The analysis group was treated with Minoxycycline ointment and Metronidazole Gel combined with Vitapex paste. After three months of treatment, the therapeutic effects of the two groups were evaluated. Results The total effective rate was 94.12%in the analysis group, which was significantly higher than 79.41%in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the depth of exploration(PD),bleeding index(BOP),gingival index(GI)and plaque index (PLI)between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05),but the indexes in the analysis group after treatment were better than those in the control group (P=0.024).Conclusion The therapeutic effect of Minocycline Hydrochloride Ointment and Metronidazole Gel combined with vitapex paste for the patients with periodontal pulp and pulp combined with disease is significant and has high clinical application value. It should be widely popularized in clinical practice.
