Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical application value of small-volume syringe with impulse pipe blowing in the prevention of nasointestinal tube blocking. Methods The clinical data of 100 patients with enteral nutrition through nasointestinal tube in the department of intensive care unit in Shangrao People′s Hospital in Jiangxi from June 2016 to June 2017 were retrospectively analyzed. All the patients were divided into two groups according to irrigation methods of nasointestinal tube,50 cases in each. The enteral nutrients of two groups were nutrison fibre. The control group was given uniform velocity irrigation with 50 ml syringe, while the observation group was given impulse irrigation with 10 ml syringe. The reintubation rate, indwelling time of nasointestinal tube, hospital stays, hospitalization expense, nursing satisfaction and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The reintubation rate of the observation group was 4.00%,which was lower than 16.00% of the control group (P<0.05);the indwelling time of nasointestinal tube in the observation group was longer than that in the control group, the hospital stays were shorter than those in the control group, and the hospitalization expense was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05);the nursing satisfaction of the observation group was 90.00%,which was higher than 74.00% of the control group (P<0.05);the incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 6.00%,which was lower than 20.00% in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Small-volume syringe can effectively prevent nasointestinal tube blocking, decrease the reintubation rate, prolong the indwelling time of nasointestinal tube, relieve pain and improve nursing satisfaction, which is worthy of promotion and application.
