Abstract:Objective To compare the effect of one-time root canal therapy and multiple root canal therapy in the treatment of dental pulp disease. Methods A total of 98 cases of patients with dental pulp disease treated in our hospital from October 2016 to February 2018 were selected as the subjects.According to the random number table method, they were divided into the control group and the observation group,49 cases in each group. The control group was treated with multiple root canal therapy, and the observation group was treated with one-time root canal therapy. The clinical effect, operation time and complication were compared between two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group (93.88%)was significantly higher than that in the control group (77.55%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).The operation time of the observation group was significantly shorter than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).The incidence of complications in the observation group(6.12%)was significantly lower than that in the control group(20.41%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusion Compared with the multiple root canal therapy, the clinical effect of onetime root canal therapy in the treatment of dental pulp disease is more significant, which can not only shorten the time of treatment, but also have high safety. It is worthy of clinical application.
