Abstract:Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of usering Estriol Cream combined with cervical dilatation stick by softening the cervix on removal of intrauterine device for postmenopausal women.Methords A total of 200 postmenopausal women required removal of intrauterine device from January 2015 to January 2017 were selected,randomly divided into control group and observation group,100 cases in each group.The observation group was givened Estriol Cream 0.5 mg/d in vaginal for 2 weeks before operation,and cervical dilatation stick were placed in the cervix for sofening cervix during operation.The control group was given oral Estradiol valerate 1 mg/d for 1 week before operation,Intrauterine device was removed by conventional method in both group.The difficulty of operation and the degree of pain in both groups were compared statistically.Results There were no statistically significant difference in smooth,difficulty and failure rate of removal of intrauterine device between the observation group and the control group(P>0.05).Compared with the control group,the rate of mild pain was higher,while the rate of moderate and severe pain was lower in the observation group,there was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.01).Conclusions The clinical application effect of Estriol Cream combined with cervical dilation stick in removal of intrauterine device in postmenopausal women is satisfactory and effective.It can alleviate the pain of patients and is worth promoting.
