Effect comparision of Modified Chaihu Shugan Powder and western medicine in the treatment of functional dyspepsia with liver depression and qi stagnation

Abstract：Objective To compare the clinical effect of Modified Chaihu Shugan Powder and western medicine in the treatment of functional dyspepsia with liver depression and qi stagnation.Methods All of 140 patients functional dyspepsia of liver depression and qi stagnation treated in our hospital from February 2016 to May 2017 were selected and they were randomly divided into the observation group and control group,and there were 70 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Pantoprazole Enteric Capsules and Domperidone Tablets,while the observation group was treated with Modified Chaihu Shugan Powder.The clinical effect,the change of TCM syndrome score and the serum motilin and gastrin in patients of the two groups after treatment were evaluated.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Before treatment,there was no significant difference in the total score of TCM syndrome between the two groups (P>0.05).After treatment,the total score of TCM syndrome in the two groups was significantly lower than that before treatment,and the total score of TCM syndrome after treatment in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05).After treatment,serum motilin level in the two groups were significantly higher than those before treatment,and gastrin level were significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.05).After treatment,the serum motilin level in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group,and the serum gastrin level was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Modified Chaihu Shugan Powder and western medicine in the treatment of functional dyspepsia with liver depression and qi stagnation can significantly improve TCM syndrome,promote the gastric motility and promote gastric emptying,and it is worthy of further clinical popularization.
