Abstract:One of the most common diseases in urology is kidney stone, which can be divided into many types. The main types are giant kidney stone and multiple kidney stone.Similarly, these disorders are also the most common but difficult to tackle in clinical surgery. Before 1980s,the majority of clinical treatment for such disorders was surgery combined with medication for litholysis. However, the implementation of open surgical treatment is harmful to patients, and also there are many complications at the later stage of the disease. If recurred,a secondary surgery has a great harm to the patient, and easily leads to impaired renal function. The treatment cycle of drugs treatment is long with an unsatisfactory effect.Once the disease has some change, but without timely treatment,it will lead to irreversible damage to the kidney.Along with the advancement of clinical medical technology and the implementation of new surgical techniques, minimal invasion treatment for kidney stone can obtain a remarkable effect. The paper reviews the research progress of minimally invasive techniques for kidney stone.
