Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of fenestration decompression in the treatment of large cyst in oral and maxillofacial region. Methods Forty patients with oral and maxillofacial cysts admitted in our hospital from January 2010 to December 2017 were selected as research subjects, and all patients were divided into the study group (n=20)and the reference group (n=20)according to the random number table method.Patients in the study group were treated with fenestration decompression, and the patients in the reference group were treated by traditional cystectomy. The operation related indicators, clinical efficacy and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results The operation time and hospitalization time in the study group were significantly shorter than those in the reference group, the amount of bleeding and postoperative complications in the study group were significantly lower than those in the reference group, with significant difference (P<0.05).The total effective rate of clinical treatment in the study group was significantly higher than that in the reference group, with significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion O-ral and maxillofacial cyst patients undergoing fenestration decompression can fundamentally improve the clinical manifestations, shorten the operation time, control the volume of blood loss and achieve the expected clinical curative effect. The safety of this surgical plan is also outstanding, and the patient′s hospitalization time and postoperative side effects are well controlled,on the whole the clinical application of fenestration decompression value is more obvious.
