Abstract：Objective To investigate the clinical effect of gamma globulin combined with methylprednisolone in children with acute severe Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia（MPP）. Methods 80 children with acute severe MPP in our hospital from May 2013 to January 2015 were selected and randomly divided into the observation group（45 cases）and the control group（35 cases）.The control group was accepted the treatment of azithromycin,the observation group was received the treatment of gamma globulin combined with methylprednisolone.The clinical curative effect and the disappearance time of cough,fever time,pulmonary rales disappeared time,chest X-ray film recovery time in two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate in observation group was 93.4％,which was significantly higher than 71.4％of control group,the difference was statistically significant（P＜0.05）.The disappearance time of cough,fever time,pulmonary rales disappeared time,chest X-ray film recovery time in observation group was significantly shorter than the control group,the differences were statistically significant（P＜0.05）. Conclusion The treatment of gamma globulin combined with methylprednisolone can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of children with acute severe MPP.It is curative effect is remarkable,and can popularized in clinical.
