Abstract:Objective To explore the feature and reason of MRI in knee training injury of new recruits from different altitudes region and to provide a theoretical basis for reducing the incidence of knee injury. Methods 180 new recruits from October 2013 to October 2014 in a unit were selected and divided into the low altitude group and the high altitude group according to the altitude of the recruitment place.MRI scan for the right knee joint was given in the first, second, third months of recruit training. The bone of knee joint, meniscus, ligament and joint cavity injury of the two groups was compared between the three stages and the different training stages. Results The incidence rate of bone marrow edema and joint effusion at the early stage and the middle stage in the low altitude group was higher than that in the high altitude group, with significant difference (P<0.05).The incidence rate of meniscal injury at the middle stage and the late stage in the low altitude group was higher than that in the high altitude group, with significant difference (P<0.05).There was significant difference in the incidence rate of bone marrow edema, meniscus injury and joint effusion between different training stages in the low altitude group (P<0.05).There was significant difference in the incidence rate of bone marrow edema and joint effusion in different training stages of the high altitude group (P<0.05).Conclusion The incidence rate of the knee joint injury of new recruits training in the low altitude region is higher than that in the high altitude region, proper protective measure and scientific training strategy should be developed to reduce its occurrence.Knee injury rate increases significantly with increasing amount of training, which is mostly significant in the late stage.
