Abstract：The proportion of hea1th and hea1th-re1ated industries in our country accounted for GDP is much 1ower than that in the deve1oped countries of Europe and America，which shows that there is great potentia1 for the deve1opment of this industry in China.This study carries out a comparative study of the hea1th service industry of Tianjin，Beijing and Shanghai from three aspects：demographics，hea1th status，medica1 resources according to authoritative statistica1 data.The resu1ts show that Tianjin exist some prob1ems such as in hea1th staff shortage，insufficient of investment in government hea1th funding，and put forward to the corresponding deve1opment strategy to improve the pay of medica1 personne1 and increase the investment of pub1ic institutions such as hospita1s，medica1 schoo1s and other pub1ic institutions.
