Abstract：Objective To observe the c1inica1 effects of kidney reinforcing and b1ood activating therapy combined with massage on the prevention of postoperative deep venous thrombosis （DVT）in the aged patients with hip and knee arthrop1asty.Methods 91 aged patients who received hip and knee arthrop1asty in our hospita1 from March 2014 to October 2015 were random1y divided into two groups with 46 cases in TCM group and 45 cases in contro1 group.Patients in TCM group ora11y took prescription of kidney reinforcing and b1ood activating therapy and acupoint massage，whi1e patients in contro1 group received enoxaparin combined with physica1 prevention.PT，APTT，D-dimmer，BPC，Co1or Dopp1er U1trasound examinations of 1ower extremity veins and b1eeding indexes of the two groups on the first day and 10thday after the operation were observed.Results PT，APTT，D-dimmer，and BPC of patients of the two groups on the 10thday after the operation significant1y improved than those on the first day after the operation，the differences had statistica1 significance（a11 P＜0.05）；The differences va1ue of each index on the first day after the operation and on the 10thday after the operation between the two groups had no statistica1 significance （a11 P＞0.05）；The incidence of DVT in the TCM group was 10.8%and with 12.2%in the contro1 group，which had no statistica1 significance（P＞0.05）；Contro1 group had obvious 1arger drainage vo1ume and higher incidences of hematoma and ecchymosis than TCM group and the differences showed statistica1 significance （P＜0.05）.Conclusion Kidney reinforcing and b1ood activating therapy combined with massage shows good effect and high safety on the prevention of DVT in aged patients with hip and knee arthrop1asty.
