Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the clinical effect of high speed turbine drillingmethod in the extraction ofmandibular impacted tooth.Methods100 cases(104 teeth)of extraction mandibular impacted tooth from January 2015 to December in our hospitalwere selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number tablemethod,50 cases(52 teeth)in each group. The observation group was treated with high speed turbine drillingmethod, and the control group was treated with traditional crown cuttingmethod. The operative time, the postoperative pain degree, the degree ofmouth opening limitation and the incidence rate of dry socketwere compared between the two groups.ResultsThe operative time in the observation group was (22.3±5.2)minutes,which was shorter than (36.3±6.9)minutes in the control group, with significant difference(P<0.05).The VAS score of the observation group after operation was(3.8±0.9)points,which was lower than(5.3±1.2)points of the control group, with significant difference (P<0.05).The degree ofmouth opening limitation in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, with significant difference(P<0.01).The incidence rate of dry socket in the observation group was 2.0%,which was lower than 12.0%in the control group, with significant difference(P<0.05).ConclusionThe high speed turbine drillingmethod can effectively shorten the operation time, reduce the degree of postoperative pain and the extent ofmouth opening, and control the incidence rate of complications,it isworthy of clinical promotion and application.
