Abstract:ObjectiveTo optimize the extraction technique of Shanqibushenxiaoke Pills.MethodsOrthogonal experimental design was used to optimize the extraction technique.The extraction rate of the Dipsacus saponinⅥand the recovery rate of total solids were used as observation indexes.To determine a more reasonable extraction technique,three factors which had greater influence on the extraction,including the amount of water used,the number of repetitions of extraction,and the extraction time were studied.According to the results of the orthogonal experiments,three pilot scale trials were performed to verify the feasibility of the extraction technique and the consistency of the product quality.Results The experimental result proved that the optimized extraction technique determined by using the orthogonal experiments was as follows:the Chinese herbal pieces was decocted with water and extracted for 2 times,each time with 8 times of water,extracted 2 hours in the first times,extracted 1.5 hours in the second times.ConclusionThe optimized extraction technique for the Shanqibushenxiaoke Pills was feasible and which was suitable for the large scale production.
