Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of two anterior-posterior internal fixations in the treatment of thoracolumbar burst fracture combining with spinal cord injury(SCI).Methods 71 patients who were suffered from thoracolumbar burst fracture combining with SCI from February 2014 to October 2015 in our hospital were selected and divided into group A(n=35)and group B(n=36)according to a random number table method.Group A was treated with posterior internal fixation, group B was treated with anterior internal fixation. The clinical therapeutic effect in both groups was compared. Results There was no significant difference in the length of operation, amount of intraoperative bleeding or healing time of plant bone mass in the two groups(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the height of anterior margin, posterior margin or kyphotic Cobb angle in the injured vertebra between group A and group B after surgery for 1 week(P>0.05).The incidence rate of complications in group A was 8.6%,while the incidence rate was 5.6%in group B,there was no significant difference in the incidence rate of complication between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of thoracolumbar burst fracture combining with SCI,the therapeutic effect of the anterior/posterior is similar. An appropriate surgical method is selected according to comprehensive considerations of individual difference, disease conditions, and hospital qualification in clinic.
