Abstract:Objective To study the clinical effect of hyperbaric oxygen assistant therapy in the treatment of brain edema after meningioma surgery. Methods 40 patients with cerebral edema after meningioma surgery from March 2015 to July 2016 in our hospital were selected and randomly divided into the control group and the observation group,20 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine therapy, the observation group was treated with hyperbaric oxygen assistant therapy on the basis of the control group. The scores of brain edema quantification index and the total effective rate were compared between the two groups after cerebral edema. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 85.00%,which was higher than that of the control group (60.00%),with significant difference(P<0.05).The quantification index of brain edema after treatment in the two groups was lower than that before treatment, with significant difference (P<0.05).The quantification index of brain edema after treatment in the observation group was (0.21± 0.05)points,which was lower than that in the control group [(1.57±0.53)points],with significant difference (P<0.05). Conclusion The hyperbaric oxygen assistant therapy can not only promote the recovery of brain tissue function, but also make the cerebral edema rapidly dissipated, which can improve the score of brain edema quantification index, increase the total effective rate,it is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
