Abstract:ObjectiveTo study blood flow changes of main visceral organs of digestion and absorption in spleen yang deficiency and its possible mechanism from the ratio of thromboxane A2(TXA2)and prostacyclin(PGI2).Methods16 SPF rats were randomly divided into the control and the spleen yangdeficiency group(the model group),8 rats in each group. Laser speckle was used to detect blood flow changes in liver, pancreas, stomach, small intestine(SI)and its mesenterium. ELISA was employed to measure serum thromboxane A2(TXA2)and prostacyclin(PGI2)concentrations.ResultsCompared with those in the control group, blood flows inliver left and right lobes, pancreas, stomach and small intestine and TXA2/ PGI2(T/A)value were significantly increased in the model group(all P<0.01),but blood flow of SI mesenterium and serum PGI2level were decreased obviously in the model group (all P<0.01).ConclusionThere is enhancement of blood flows in main visceral organs of digestion and absorption in spleen yang deficiency, and its underlying mechanism might be attributed to the increase of T/P value.
