Abstract:ObjectiveTo compare the clinical effect of locking intramedullary pin system and locking plate treating elderly proximal humerus fracture.MethodsClinical data of 48 elderly patients with proximal humerus fracture in Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital from February 2014 to February 2016 were analyzed, and they were divided into two groups by different treatment methods:locking intramedullary pin system group (24 cases)and locking plate group (24 cases). The operation correlation index,Neer score after operation, postoperative complications between two groups were observed.ResultsThe incision length, intraoperatve blood soss, operation time, healing time of locking plate group were higher than those of locking intramedullary pin system group, and the differences were statistical significance (P<0.05).There was no statistical difference in score of pain, after operation, myodynamia, daily activities, range of joint motion, total score between two groups(P>0.05).There was no statistical difference in the internal fixation loosening or breakage, articular dyskinesia or pain, nonunion or delayed union rate between two groups(P>0.05).ConclusionLocking intramedullary pin system treating elderly proximal humerus fracture and its injury is little, recovery is quick. It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
