Abstract:ObjectiveTo evaluate the effect of improved vacuum sealing drainage in adjuvant treatment of oral and maxillofacial space infection.MethodsFrom January 2010 to January 2017,82 patients with oral and maxillofacial space infection treated in our hospital were selected and they were randomly divided into the improved group (41cases)and conventional group (41 cases)and the two groups was given the self-control improved vacuum sealing drainage and conventional single tube vacuum sealing drainage on the basis of basic treatment. The clinical efficacy, extubation time, wound healing time, granulation tissue growth time, the days of antibiotic use,the related complications, hospitalization days, and hospital charges in patients between two groups were analyzed.ResultsThe total effective rate in improved group was 97.56%,which was significantly higher than those in conventional group (80.49%)(P<0.05).The extubation time, wound healing time, granulation tissue growth time, the days of antibiotic use in the improved group were shorter than those of the conventional group (P<0.05).The incidence rate of complications, hospital charges in the conventional group were obviously higher than those of the improved group, hospitalization days was was obviously longer than those of the improved group (P<0.05).ConclusionImproved vacuum sealing drainage in adjuvant treatment of oral and maxillofacial space infection can obviously improve the clinical effect, and obviously shorten the hospitalization days, wound healing time, granulation tissue growth time, the days of antibiotic use with lower incidence rate of complications and hospitalization days, and it is worthy of promotion.
