Correlation study ofbetween oxidativestressrelated factors,tumor necrosis factor and disease activity of psoriasis vulgaris

Abstract:ObjectiveTo investigate the correlation between oxidative stress related factors,tumor necrosis factor(TNF) and and disease activity of psoriasis vulgaris.MethodsFrom July 2014 to June 2015,46 cases with psoriasis vulgaris treated in the Second People′s Hospital of Longgang District in Shenzhen City were selected and according to the psoriasis area and severity index (PASI),the patients were divided into the mild to moderate group (29 cases)and severe group(17 cases),the other 30 cases of normal controls(healthy control group).Serum total antioxidant capacity(T-AOC) level,superoxide dismutase (SOD),catalase (CAT),glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px),tumor necrosis factor(TNF-α), osteopontin (OPN)expression level were detected.ResultsSerum T-AOC,SOD and GSH-Px level in the mild to moderate group and severe group were significantly lower than the healthy control group,the serum CAT level was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.01),serum T-AOC,SOD,GSH-Px in the severe group was significantly lower than that of the mild to moderate group,the serum CAT level was significantly higher than that of the mild to moderate group (P<0.01,P<0.05).TNF-α and OPN level in the mild to moderate group and severe group were significantly higher than those in healthy control group(P<0.01),serum TNF-α and OPN level in the severe group were higher than those in the mild to moderate group(P<0.01,P<0.05).PASI grading was negatively correlated with T-AOC,SOD,GSH-Px classification(P<0.05);and was positively correlated with CAT,TNF-α,OPN (P<0.05).ConclusionThe oxidative stress level and inflammatory reaction are closely related to the severity of psoriasis vulgaris,and serum T-AOC,SOD,CAT,GSH-Px, TNF-α,OPN can be used as a reference index to evaluate the disease severity and prevention of psoriasis vulgaris.
