Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of low carbohydrate diet intervention in promoting pregnancy of obese polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) patients. Methods A total of 86 cases of obese PCOS patients admitted to Dalian Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital from December 2018 to December 2019 were selected as the research objects, and they were randomly divided into the study group and the control group using the random number table method, with 43 cases in each group. Both groups were given symptomatic treatment and routine nursing intervention, while the control group was given routine diet guidance, the study group was given low carbohydrate diet intervention. The changes of body mass index (BMI), body fat rate, fasting insulin (FINS), fasting blood glucose (FBG), testosterone (T), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH) and other hormone levels were recorded before and after intervention in the two groups. The patients were followed up for 1 year, and the menstrual cycle recovery rate and pregnancy success rate of the two groups within 1 year after intervention were counted. Results Before intervention, there were no significant differences in the BMI, body fat rate, FINS, FBG and hormone levels between the two groups (P>0.05). After intervention, BMI, body fat rate, FINS, FBG, T and LH levels of the two groups were lower than those before intervention, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). There were no significant differences in FSH levels between the two groups before and after intervention (P>0.05). And the BMI, body fat rate, FINS, FBG, T and LH levels of the study group after intervention were lower than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). There was no significant difference in FSH level between the two groups (P>0.05). The menstrual cycle recov-ery rate and pregnancy success rate of the study group were higher than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion In the nursing of obese patients with PCOS, the application of low carbohydrate diet intervention can effectively reduce weight and body fat, promote the improvement of glucose metabolism and reproductive endocrine, and play a role in promoting pregnancy.
