Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of Compound Danshen Dripping Pills combined with Valsartan on blood pressure and vascular endothelial function in elderly patients with essential hypertension. Methods A total of 92 elderly patients with essential hypertension admitted to the Third People′s Hospital of Jiujiang City from February 2019 to February 2020 were selected as subjects. They were divided into the Western medicine group and the combination group according to the random number table method, with 46 patients in each group. Both groups were given Aspirin Enteric-coated Tablets and Atorvastatin Calcium Tablets after admission. The Western medicine group were given oral Valsartan to control blood pressure, and the combination group were treated with Compound Danshen Dripping Pills combined with Valsartan. The systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, serum nitric oxide(NO),and endothelin(ET-1)levels before and after treatment, and clinical efficacy were compared between the two groups. Results Before treatment, there were no statistically significant differences in blood pressure indicators between the two groups (P>0.05).After treatment, the blood pressure indicators in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05).The blood pressure indicators in the combination group after treatment were lower than those in the Western medicine group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the combination group was higher than that in the Western medicine group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no significant differences in vascular endothelial function indexes(NO,ET-1)between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the NO levels in the two groups were higher than those before treatment, and the ET-1 levels in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05).After treatment, the NO level in the combination group was higher than that in the Western medicine group, and ET-1 level in the combination group was lower than that in the Western medicine group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion Compound Danshen Dripping Pills combined with Valsartan has a more significant effect on blood pressure control in elderly patients with essential hypertension and is helpful for the recovery of vascular endothelial function. It is worthy of further clinical investigation.
