Abstract:Objective To analyze the correlation between the macular microstructure of the idiopathic macular epiretinal membrane(IMEM)and ocular vision and color vision. Methods A total of 30 monocular IMEM patients(60 eyes)who were admitted to Department of Ophthalmology of Dalian Friendship Hospital from January 2019 to January 2021 were selected as the research subjects.According to whether these eyes with IMEM or not, they were divided into IMEM eye group and control group, with 30 eyes in each group. The best correlated visual acuity(BCVA)of the two groups were observed, the color vision was examined by Farnsworth Munsell 100 Hue Test(FM 100 Hue Test),and central foveal thickness(CFT)was examined by frequency domain optical coherence tomography(SD-OCT).The continuity of ellipsoid zone(EZ)in macular area was observed and analyzed statistically. Results The BCVA of IMEM eye group was lower than control group, the color vision score was higher than control group, the CFT was thicker than control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).BCVA with complete EZ continuity was higher than that with EZ continuity interruption, and the color vision score was lower than that with EZ continuity interruption, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).CFT and IMEM grades were positively correlated with BCVA and color vision scores(P<0.05),and age was positively correlated with color vision scores(P<0.05).Conclusion BCVA and color vision of IMEM eyes were lower than control eyes, and CFT were thicker than control eyes. The elder the age,the higher the grade of IMEM and the thicker CFT,as well as the worse BCVA and color vision.BCVA and color vision of IMEM with continuous EZ were better than those with discontinuous EZ.
