Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of periodontal combined with pulp in the treatment of severe periodontitis. Methods A total of 112 patients with severe periodontitis admitted to Fushun Hospital of Chinese Medicine from October 2017 to June 2018 were selected as research objects.According to the random number table method, they were divided into the experimental group (58 cases) and the control group (54 cases). The experimental group was treated with periodontal combined with pulp, while the control group was treated with periodontal alone. The total effective rate, gingival creval bleeding index (SBI),degree of tooth loosening (TM),periodontal probing depth (PD),plaque index(PLI),loss of attachment (CAL) before and after treatment, and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no significant differences in SBI,TM,PD,PLI and CAL between the two groups (P>0.05).At 6 months after treatment,SBI,TM,PD and PLI of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and CAL was higher than that before treatment.SBI,TM,PD and CAL in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in PLI between the two groups (P>0.05).The total incidence of complications in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Periodontal combined with pulp in the treatment of severe periodontitis has better clinical efficacy than traditional methods, which can fundamentally improve the pulp condition of patients and improve the prognosis.Early pulp treatment can significantly improve the treatment efficiency.
