Abstract:Objective To explore the preventive effect of traditional Chinese medicine external application on deep vein thrombosis in ICU severe patients. Methods A total of 128 severe patients admitted to the ICU of Shenzhen Pingle Orthopedics and Injury Hospital from January 2020 to January 2021 were selected as the study subjects, and divided into the control groups (64 cases) and the observation groups (64 cases) according to the random number table method. The control group received anticoagulation treatment, and the observation group applied traditional Chinese medicine on the basis of the control group, the two groups continued medication for 10 days. The blood coagulation function, the blood rheology index and the incidence of the deep vein thrombosis were compared between the two groups. Results Before treatment, the comparison of coagulation function (prothrombin time [PT], activated partial thromboplastin time [APTT],thrombin time [TT], D-dimer [D-D]) were compared between the two groups, with no statistical significant differences(P>0.05).After treatment, PT, APTT, and TT in the two groups were longer than those before treatment in this group, and the D-D levels was lower than that before treatment in this group, and the differences were statistical significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the PT, APTT and TT in the observation group were longer than those in the control group at the same period, and the D-D levels in the observation group was lower than that in the control group at the same period, and the differences were statistical significant (P<0.05).Before treatment, the blood rheological indexes (high blood viscosity [HBV], low blood viscosity [LBV], and plasma viscosity [PV]) were compared between the two groups, with no statistical significant differences (P>0.05).After treatment, the levels of HBV, LBV, and PV in the two groups were lower than those before treatment in this group, and the differences were statistical significant (P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of HBV, LBV, and PV in the observation group were lower than those in the control group at the same period, and the differences were statistical significant (P<0.05).The incidence of deep vein thrombosis in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion External application of traditional Chinese medicine can improve coagulation function, reduce blood viscosity and reduce severe ICU thrombosis, which is worth extensive application.
