Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined with cervical traction in the treatment of vertebrobasilar ischemic vertigo. Methods A total of 100 patients with vertebrobasilar ischemic vertigo admitted to the Department of Neurology in the Chengji Hospital of Shenyang Orthopedic Hospital from December 2018 to June 2019 were selected. They were divided into the cervical traction group (50 patients)and the combined treatment group (50 patients)according to the random number table method. The cervical traction group was given cervical traction, and the combined treatment group was given cervical traction combined with acupuncture. The treatment duration was 20 days. The scores of vertigo, visual rotation, headache, tinnitus, nausea, vomiting, vertebrobasilar system ischemic neurological dysfunction,ABCD2,vertebrobasilar pulsitility index (PI),velocity systolic (VS)and total effective rate were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the scores of vertigo, visual rotation, headache, tinnitus, nausea, vomiting, neurological dysfunction,ABCD2,and PI in the combined treatment group were lower than those in the cervical traction group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After treatment, the score of VS in the combined treatment group was higher than that in the cervical traction group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The total effective rate in the combined treatment group was higher than that in the cervical traction group, with statistically significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture combined with cervical traction can increase blood flow speed, improve blood circulation, reduce blood lipids, relieve vasospasm, improve neuro-autonomy,and increase cure rate.
