Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Methylprednisolone injection in the initial treatment of idiopathic sudden deafness. Methods A total of 80 patients with idiopathic sudden deafness admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Shantou University Medical College from November 2016 to November 2019 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into the control group and the observation group by the random number table method, with 40 patients in each group. The control group was treated with intravenous infusion of Methylprednisolone, and the observation group was treated with injection of Methylprednisolone behind the ear.The clinical efficacy and hearing threshold before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results The effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no significant difference in hearing threshold between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the hearing threshold of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Retroauricular injection of Methylprednisolone for the initial treatment of patients with idiopathic sudden deafness is effective, which is worthy of reference and promotion in clinical practice.
