Comparison of cleaning and disinfection effects of different pipeline cleaning and disinfection methods for electro-stomach irrigator

Abstract:ObjectiveTo investigate the cleaning and disinfection effects of different methods of cleaning and disinfecting different tubes in electro-stomach irrigator.MethodsFrom January 2015 to December 2016,3 electric lavage machines used in our hospital were washed for 150 times,which were evenly divided into clean water group,detergent group,and multi-enzyme group in random,50 times in each group.After being cleaned and disinfected,they were observed visually and sample-inspected after biological monitoring at days 1,3,and 5 after storage in order to compare the cleaning and disinfection effects of the three cleaning methods.ResultsThe qualified rate in the multi-enzyme group was 98.00%,significantly higher than 86.00%in the detergent group and 68.00%in the clean water group with statistical significance (P<0.05).Day 1 after cleaning and disinfection,the proportion of bacteria≤20 CFU/cm2in the three groups were compared,the differences were not statistically significant(P>0.05).Day 3 and 5 after cleaning and disinfection,the proportion of bacteria≤20 CFU/cm2in the multi-enzyme group was much higher than that in the detergent group and clean water group (P<0.05).ConclusionFor electro-stomach irrigator pipelines,application of multi-enzyme diluent for cleaning and disinfecting is effective,and easy to operate,which can effectively prevent and control cross-infection and iatrogenic infection.
